Marquette Trip Summer 2006

In July, Tony, Cat, Dan, Jess, Susie, Stanton, DOTi and Goofch enjoyed

summer fun in the sun on the Lake Superior beach in Marquette, MI.

A good time was had by all, and here’s some proof!

We did lots of good hiking,

standing around trying to look casual while a photo-timer took a picture,

hamming it up with the dog atop Sugar Loaf “mountain,”

enjoying the view of the colorful underwater rocks in Lake Superior near Little Presque Isle,

and paddling in the lake.

We also spent some time with people we don’t see often enough.

This is Melissa, Tony’s 6^th cousin-twice-removed or something like that,

who is pregnant with her 2^nd baby and almost exactly

the same schedule as I am, within a day of the same due date.

Fabulous!

When did I ever get so short?!

This is Tony’s aunt Gret who is just as pretty as her little sister, Edie (T’s mom).

Mom was running up and down the beach in a futile attempt to wear out the dogs.

The dogs were humming Bolero the whole time.

Doesn’t she look just like Bo Derek?

Well, she did wear out The Goofch, but DOTi is electron motion:

She is everywhere at once, and nowhere at once.

OK, I’ll admit. I like this picture because I look so tall and not-7-months-pregnant in it.

Well, maybe not quite “tall.”

Tonys are very slimming, no?
